Biodata : Ir. Dr. Loke Kean Hooi obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (1st Class Honours) in 1987 and Doctor of Philosophy from University of Strathclyde, UK in 1991 on Geosynthetics and Geotechnical Engineering. His former position from 2004 to 2006 was act as GM of Polyfelt Asia Sdn. Bhd. and he is currently GM of TenCate Geosynthetics Asia Sdn. Bhd.

Ir. Dr. Loke has conducted many short courses, lectures on geosynthetics to government (JPS, JKR, PKNS) agencies, engineering institutions, universities, consultants and Professional Institution (IEM, ACEM, IKRAM) on:
Types of geosynthetics, manufacturing process and their applications,
Design of reinforced soil structures,
Design of road and embankments,
Landfill design and construction,
Coastal and riverbank protection design,
Geosynthetic instrumentation and monitoring
Geosynthetics for disaster mitigation eg, tsunami, earthquakes etc

He also authored and co-authored more than 50 technical papers and journals in national and international conferences.
