Introduction
SECTION 1 (9.00-10.45)
• Fundamentals about slope engineering including slope behaviour, types and mechanism/process of slope failure; concept & methods of stability analysis plus design standard/criteria for cut & fill slopes; critical site & subsoil parameters & how to procure the parameters through SI; statistics about landslides and their significance to slope design.

SECTION 2 (11.00-13.00)
• Slope failure investigation & analysis; Common slope stabilization methods & Analysis for cut & fill slopes with case histories. Landslide investigation checklist is included.

SECTION 3 (14.00-15.35)
• Step by step detail design of soil nailing & guniting; Techniques & methods of QC tests & monitoring methods to verify and to check the design parameters & performance (to show compliance of design criteria).

SECTION 4 (16.00-17.00)
• Common slope protection techniques, their applications & limitations, and their significance in enhancing slope stability will be discussed. Some enlightening slope design examples & slope failure case histories, etc.

Biodata : Ir. Neoh has been a Vice Chairman of IEM (2004-2006), Chairman of Technical Committee on Geotechnics (TC5)of Road Association of Malaysia (1997-2006) and Chairman of IEM Geotechnical Technical Division (1996-1998),etc.

He joined JKR Malaysia for 25 years after graduated from UM in 1974. He joined IKRAM Runding Sdn Bhd as Director from 1999 to 2000. Since 2001, he is the Director of E-GEO Consultant Sdn Bhd.

He has published more than 50 technical papers about geotechnical and road engineering in various local & international conferences/seminars/journal.

He is a registered BEM Accredited Independent Checker (Geotechnical).
